made from genuine Louisiana alligator in the USA. Aside from a network of manufacturers across the country, our skilled leather-working team here in Lafayette can custom-make many products. So, if you have something in mind that you would like to have made

Mark Staton Co. has evolved over the years. New Iberia native and USL grad, Mark Staton returned to Acadiana in 1992 and settled in Lafayette with his family. While away, he earned advanced degrees studying alligators, and eventually ran the world's largest
Crocodile farm in Papua New Guinea. Mark has been involved in every aspect of the alligator industry ranging from farming; trading of wild and farmed skins in domestic and international markets (markstatonco.com); to sales of alligator leathergoods exclusively
to the Lafayette market. Mark is joined by his wife Allison, daughter Karin Marie, and a small but dedicated staff who are familiar with alligator skins and the needs of our customers.

For our local alligator hunters: we can buy your salted alligator hide, or get it tanned, dyed and finished to your specs, and return it to you for safe keeping - or make it into products for you. Please call us before or during the September hunting season
to see when we are accepting skins.
